How it's calculated

Your personal year number comes from reducing your birth day and month together with the current calendar year down to a single digit (1 through 9). Because the calendar year is the same for everyone, but your birth day and month aren't, everyone's personal year cycle is offset differently, two people can be in completely different personal years in the same January.
